Still have a lot on my plate, including a planned "dinner party" for my boyfriend's grandparents and much studying/test taking. Regardless of my personal woes, here are some bright recolors of Maxis cheap dishwasher and stoves in the same palette as Snack Time: Part I and Snack Time: Part II because [info]ugly_kitties motherfuckin' said so. They're pretty grungy, seeing as somebody has or will make clean and bright colors and I've never been clean or very bright. Er... Anyway, I even slightly mussed up the interiors and sides of the dishwashers. If you want the mussed up sides/interiors, you must keep the purple recolor in your downloads folder. Them's the breaks. All files are clearly labeled and compressorized as per usual. Animated (!) previews of the colors, the interior of the dishwasher, and the dirty state of the stove are below. Next up are Maxis dressers, probably tomorrow.

Insomnia totally kicked my ass. I did however have episodes of Justice League to tide me over in my hour(s and hours and hours) of need. So today, absolutely out of the blue, I bring you twenty-four K-Horror and J-Horror posters on the framed Collectible Poster mesh which came with the Bon Voyage EP. If you're curious about some of the movies, I highly highly recommend Kwaidan and Onibaba, two of my favorite films of all time. I make everyone I know watch them. In any case, all files are clearly labeled, pre-compressorized, and a preview pic is included. Each of the images was cropped or edited in some way to make them viable posters. I was going to include the same set on one of the other poster meshes ("We Call It Football" or "Surfing the Universe") but after four hours of trying to get things to actually look good and not warped or cut-off I gave up. So enjoy these, or else! Giant preview ahead.

I'm running on about three hours of sleep and very little to eat, so needless to say today is a lazy day. I spent a pitiful amount of time this morning fiddling with my LJ layout because I couldn't decide between 'Verdana' and 'Trebuchet MS' and it turns out there are all these little things you can do with a paid account. Glee! CSS! I have a to-do list full of stuff to tackle, which I may or may not handle tomorrow and the rest of the weekend. Mostly it involves figuring out why my posters keep coming out all pixelated. Here's the addition to Snack Time!--seven bright recolors of Maxis' Brand Name "EconoCool" Refrigerator. All files are clearly labeled and compressorized. They're much grungier than the mini-fridges.

You're gettin' this instead of the other things I was working on because someone on GoS said "bright colors" and naturally I came runnin' in with little regard to tact or propriety. And because I was waiting for my laundry to dry and needed to kill a little time. There are seven bright recolors of Maxis' mini fridge which came with the University EP. University is a drag to play, but it came with great careers and nice meshes, so fie and fiddlesticks to those of you missing out on it. All the files are clearly marked and pre-compressorized because... I love you? I never read anything on the Wishing Tree because most of it is about hair or clothing which I can't do yet. I really should though--someone might say neon next and I might ask, "How high?"

I really liked Belly's entry for "They Put Me In This Room...", especially the brightly colored television set. So when I saw this WCIF I was struck by the idea to make recolors of my own. Though probably not half as nice, grungy, or quite the same shade of electric aqua, I hope you like them well enough. I figured this is too dinky a thing to bother with putting on GoS, so I'm puttin' 'em here. There are four neon-ish TV colors and 4 variously grungy table colors. The mesh is included and files are pre-compressorized. In case you can't tell, it's been an extremely boring weekend filled with lots of cartoon watching and focaccia baking. I could be out enjoying the last hurrahs of of summer but sunlight is harmful to mine gothly visage. Plus I'm broke.

Inspired by this post and having recently stumbled across an entire blog/website dedicated to book cover design, I've made some poster recolors. Surprise! They're on the ever beloved "Surfing the Universe" mesh. The first set are covers from Fantagraphics' Mome anthologies. The second set are all book covers. They cover the gamut from classic to modern literature with a few graphic novels thrown in here and there. Nearly all the covers have been edited or tweaked somewhat in order to make them viable posters. All the files are clearly marked and pre-compressorized for your convenience. Beware of the enormous full preview under the cut. Check out Bluebottle's "Surfing the Universe" Poster Add-ons & Recolors and Yuxi's - Collector's Mania; Distressed Maxis shit - for extra meshes compatible with these recolors.
