Hi.

SOOOOOO.

At first it was the crappy router, and then it was the subzero temperatures (the "computer room" doesn't have proper insulation or heating), and then it was just apathy. And part of it is neurotic fiddle-faddle which you do not care to hear but which leads me to avoid the internet. I'm not a social person and I like to run away and I often have so many ideas for amazing things I'd love to do but can hardly be arsed to follow through on because of some crazy personality flaw I can't quite pinpoint.

I was barely playing the game to begin with and I haven't even booted up the damn thing at all since the new year. I don't have the urge to do anything sims related really, though shiny pictures from the people I admire do leave me feeling rather wistful. I even managed to nab up a bunch of webspace and was going to go about making a real website, but that ambition quickly fizzled. I'll try to find (or cobble together) a single website to put up all the stuff I've made, so it's easier to peruse through than livejournal. Suggestions are welcome, website-building related or otherwise. MTS2 is not an option, no.

This is a rather wishy-washy apology for being so absent, but I am sorry. If you have a WCIF that I have not yet responded to, ask here. If you have any questions, ask here. If you sent me some message on some website and it is MOST DIRE that I read it, remind me here. If you decide you don't want to be LJ buds anymore, it's okay. If you want to be RL LJ buddies, ask here, but there are no guarantees as Phobia =/= Me in real life and I won't talk about Sims 2 things and hardly ever update but it will probably be the only real way I'll keep up with anyone's shenanigans. Long sentences.

Someday I'll try to do clothing again. Anyway, Corinne (who is also lipmusic) is all kinds of sweet asked Kielen to extract the Seasons Rockstar mesh that I used to make Smart Went Crazy so that now you can have the outfits even if all you have is the basegame! She was kind enough to even recolor her mesh with my recolors, so if you always wanted those outfits but didn't have Seasons or Apartment Life, follow the previous link to download them, or if you're feeling especially lazy download them here. For those of you who were wondering, I plan on releasing Easy/Lucky/Free Part Two before Wednesday of next week. It will include 21 new "normal" eye recolors including 3 defaults of each color, 9 alien eyes, alien defaults, bigfoot defaults, genie defaults, two new vampire defaults (one Maxis and one featuring one of Mouseyblue's skintones), and a set of contacts for all 60 recolors. strange_tomato, this is the blue I came up with which looks strangely light in that picture, but I assure you it isn't. If it isn't right then at some point after I come back I'll make something 'specially for you. I'll stop spamming your friends pages now! It was pointed out to me that my hair recolors don't work. They don't work because I'm a complete idiot and apparently can't fully comprehend Bodyshop tutorials correctly. I feel really bad about it considering there have been something like 200 downloads of each set of recolors and that's 200 chances for someone to tell me I made a mistake. And now the especially neurotic part of me is wondering why no one said anything! If you ever need to tell me something privately AND anonymously (should you so choose) just leave a comment here. Anonymous comments are okay, there's no IP logging, and everything is screened. Seriously, I don't bite. I do fuck up and I do feel bad about it, but I prefer being able to fix things or improve upon them than worry about my delicate little feelings.

Also, not everyone is going to like every single thing I make, and that's cool. I don't necessarily like everything everyone else makes either, or I may like it but I try to keep my Downloads folder small, so I won't download it. I put stuff up because I like making it for myself and it makes sense to share it.

So I was fixing these recolors instead of finishing the dressers. Um... if you still want the recolors, I've fixed the links in the original posts. Or, if you're as lazy as I am, here are direct links:
