Since I received several requests about this, I edited the regular ol' Maxis defaults and created default vampire, werewolf, and plantsim eyes (for both healthy and withered states). Vampires wear "Bad Blood", werewolves wear "Hit the Switch", and plantsims wear "Arienette" when healthy and "Touch" when withered.
You can only use one default at a time, this should replace your current default and/or the Maxis default. If you experience problems having your sims with custom skintones properly turn into werewolves, check out
this fix by Pioupiou. Please note that my Plantsim models are wearing face makeup because I'm too damn lazy to take new preview pictures. If you have any particular requests or concerns, lemme know and I'd be more than happy to help you.
Note:
engram_au will be adding my recolors to her edited Maxis skintones too, which I think are a huge improvement over Maxis as-is, so
be sure to check them out!

Thanks for the plug :) I have indeed finished my Maxis edited skintones. I think we used the same eyes, too! LOL I'll be doing preview pics and sending them to the LL30 Sims site admin this weekend, so hopefully they'll be up for download soon.

Are you planning to do any default replacements for the Witches (if you have AL that is) and the zombies?
Edited for my sucky spelling.

In the case of witches' green skin/sparkles, I think they don't change the eye color of your sims at all and don't have actual eye textures attached to them, as the vampire/werewolf/plantsim ones do. Same thing with zombies, they retain their original eye colors. If you're not into the incredibly GREEN witch skin though, the ever-talented Engram made a slightly less opaque default replacement which I use.

And thanks for the explanation. Much appreciated!

I switch between all four as my mood turns, but it's somewhat stressing. o_o

default eyes
you did an amazing job on these, i just had to say! but i was wondering if you could just put up the default replacement eyes for the vampire, plantsims, and werewolf? i have some skin tones i'd like to use with them!April 21 2009, 18:17:09 UTC 3 years ago
Re: default eyes
Eyes are attached to skintones and in no way can be separated. So if you want the eyes with any other skintone, you have to edit the default yourself.
